Good Health Starts with the Gut

"The road to health is paved with good intestines!"

-Sherry A. Rogers

The gut is often called the body's second brain, as it touches the entire system in ways we don't often expect. Beneficial bacteria in the digestive system are capable of impacting not only our digestion, but our hormone regulation, immune response, mood, toxin elimination, and vitamin/ mineral absorbency as well. Such an important part of the body should be well taken-care of, and that can start with something as simple as adding a probiotic.

When our customers have concerns about the following, a probiotic is usually one of the first topics we discuss:

1. Digestive health: Daily, our body houses various good and bad bacteria vital in breaking down ingested food for nutrient absorption. However, if an influx of bad bacteria builds up, bloating, cramping, diarrhea, and other unpleasant symptoms can occur. Adding more good bacteria or probiotics to your digestive tract can decrease potential for these symptoms.

2. Immunity: Infection and disease can result from unhealthy digestive bacteria buildup. By digesting probiotics, healthy bacteria clears out unhealthy bacteria from the digestive tract, increasing immunity levels.

3. Obesity: Studies have shown that adding probiotics to your diet can increase and maintain weight loss, most likely due to aided digestion.

Dream Health offers our probiotic, DreamBiotics, a formula made from goat's milk due to its easy digestibility. Some probiotics, like those from bovine, can cause gastric upset but goat's milk is gentle, and the closest to the 'mother's milk' we were born to assimilate.
